Request for Proposal Guidelines

Each semester, local and regional organizations are encouraged to submit an application to partner with us. Qualifying projects should present a community or organizational need that can be effectively addressed with public relations strategies.

As bluestone functions as an experiential learning lab for UWG students, we actively seek projects that are dynamic and professionally enriching to the student experience. Preference is given to communications challenges that are 1) appropriate and feasible for student service-learning, and 2) have objectives that may be reasonably achieved within 4 months.

Your online application will request the following:

  • Organization’s strategic plan

  • Statement of issue or area of need

  • Outline of budget for out-of-pocket expenses

  • Timeline or critical dates for implementation of plan

  • Self-evaluation

Additional information such as organization history and past initiatives, staff biographies, organization’s collateral may be requested upon review of the application. Selected organizations will be required to sign the attached Memorandum of Agreement.

Application deadlines should be set for fall and spring semesters.  Applications for projects in the fall (Aug.-Dec.) will generally be received in August 15; applications for the spring (Jan.-May.) should be received by January 5. Deadlines must be clearly posted on the bluestone website.

Who May Apply

We accept applications from local, state and regional nonprofit organizations, for-profit corporations and government agencies. We are also pleased to take on University initiatives. Please contact us directly for specific inquiries related to your business status and our ability to partner.
